Privacy Policy

How the DRIFT AF app collects, uses, shares and protects your information, and the choices and rights you have.

Effective date: 5 October 2026

Summary

  • We collect limited technical and usage data, including advertising identifiers, when you use the app.
  • The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Players aged 16 and over may see personalised ads if they agree; players under 16 only see non-personalised, child-appropriate ads.
  • You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time: rekurigames@gmail.com.

This summary is for convenience only. The full policy below applies.

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the DRIFT AF mobile app and any related services operated by Salvador Rønning (together, the “Application”). Salvador Rønning is referred to as the “Service Provider”, “we” or “us”, and is the party responsible for deciding how your personal data is used (the “controller” under laws such as the GDPR).

By using the Application you acknowledge this policy. Please read it carefully.

2. Information we collect

The Application collects information automatically when you download and use it:

CategoryExamples
Network and device dataYour IP address; device model, manufacturer, operating system and language
Unique identifiersAndroid Advertising ID or Apple Identifier for Advertisers (only from users aged 16 and over; never from Younger Users)
Usage dataPages or screens you visit, date and time of visits, time spent on each page and in the Application
Approximate locationCountry-level or IP-based location (not precise GPS location)
Advertising interactionAd impressions, clicks and engagement time

We do not ask for your name, email address or other contact details in order to play. If we ever ask for more information, we will explain why and keep it only as described in this policy. Users under 16 (“Younger Users”) receive extra protections, described in Section 11.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Application and its performance.
  • To measure usage and understand how the Application is used (analytics).
  • To deliver and measure advertising shown in the Application (personalised only for users aged 16 and over who have agreed, where consent is required).
  • To send important service information and required notices. Where permitted by law, we may send marketing communications to users aged 16 and over only, never to Younger Users. You can opt out at any time.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for example, for personalised advertising or non-essential tracking technologies); legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving the Application); and legal obligation (where the law requires us to keep or disclose data). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. For Younger Users we process only the limited data described in Section 11 and never use it for personalised advertising.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before using non-essential tracking technologies. We do not use tracking technologies for advertising profiles or cross-app tracking of Younger Users.

5. Sharing and third parties

We share information only in the ways described in this policy. The Application uses third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

Aggregated, anonymised data is periodically sent to external services to help us improve the Application. Advertising partners such as AdMob may receive identifiers and interaction data (for example, your advertising ID, device information and ad interactions) from users aged 16 and over in order to serve and measure ads. For Younger Users we do not send the advertising ID and we request only non-personalised, child-appropriate ads (see Section 11). We use only ad services that meet Google Play’s Families Policy requirements for ads shown to children and users of unknown age.

We may also disclose information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • to trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information, and have agreed to follow the rules in this policy.

6. International data transfers

We or our service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Data protection laws in those countries may differ from yours. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we use appropriate mechanisms, such as:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission;
  • adequacy decisions or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms;
  • your consent, where required and legally permitted.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here.

Type of dataHow long we keep it
User-provided dataWhile you use the Application, plus 12 months, unless the law requires longer
Automatically collected dataUp to 24 months from collection, unless longer retention is needed for legal compliance
Aggregated and anonymised dataIndefinitely, because it no longer identifies you
Data from Younger UsersNo longer than the periods above, and deleted promptly when a parent or guardian asks
Data required for legal complianceAs long as applicable law requires

Some user-provided data may be required for the Application to work properly. You may request deletion subject to any legal obligation to retain it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal data:

AccessGet confirmation of whether we process your data and receive a copy.
CorrectionHave inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
DeletionAsk us to erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
RestrictionAsk us to limit how we use your data in certain cases.
ObjectionObject to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing.
PortabilityReceive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
Withdraw consentWithdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
No automated decisionsNot be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effects. We do not make such decisions.

How to exercise your rights

Email rekurigames@gmail.com. Parents and guardians can make requests for their child (see Section 12). We may need to verify your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days (or the period required by your local law) and will not charge a fee unless a request is clearly excessive.

Right to complain

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Norway this is Datatilsynet. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

9. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share, and request a copy;
  • Delete personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising;
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data shared with advertising partners may count as “sharing” under California law, which is why we do not collect or share them from anyone we know is under 16. To exercise your rights, or to use an authorised agent to do so, email rekurigames@gmail.com with the subject “California Privacy Request”. We aim to respond within 45 days. You can also limit ad personalisation directly on your device (see Section 10).

10. Opting out

  • Stop collection: uninstall the Application. This stops further collection from your device but does not automatically delete data already sent to us or third parties.
  • Limit ad personalisation: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads and opt out of ad personalisation or reset your advertising ID. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Delete data or withdraw consent: email rekurigames@gmail.com.

11. Children and young players

The Application is a general-audience game that children may play. We take extra care with anyone who is, or might be, under 16 (“Younger Users”). We use 16 as one simple age line because it is the highest age of digital consent in the EEA. It also covers the under-13 rules of the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the lower consent ages used in Norway and other countries.

Age screen

When you first open the Application, we ask for your age or year of birth in a neutral way. If you are under 16, or choose not to say, you are treated as a Younger User.

What changes for Younger Users

  • Ads are non-personalised and child-appropriate. We request child-directed treatment and the lowest ad content rating from our ad provider. There is no interest-based advertising or remarketing.
  • No advertising ID. We do not collect or send the Android Advertising ID or Apple Identifier for Advertisers.
  • No personal details. We do not ask for name, email, phone number, precise location, photos or audio.
  • No selling, sharing or marketing. We do not sell or share their personal information, build advertising profiles or send marketing messages.
  • Limited technical data only. We process basic device, operating system and usage information to run and improve the game. Our ad provider receives the technical data (such as an IP address) needed to deliver ads.

If we learn that we hold personal information from a child that we should not, we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians can contact us at any time (see Section 12).

12. Parents and guardians

You can do any of the following for your child’s data, at any time and free of charge:

  • ask what information we hold and receive a copy;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • refuse further collection or use of it, or ask us to restrict or stop processing it;
  • withdraw any consent that was given.

Email rekurigames@gmail.com with the subject “Child privacy request”. We do not hold names, so to find the data please tell us the device type and, if you can, the identifier shown in the device’s settings. We may ask for reasonable proof that you are the parent or guardian, and we will not ask for more than we need. We aim to respond within 30 days.

You can also use parental controls such as Google Family Link or Apple Screen Time, restrict ad personalisation in the device settings, or uninstall the Application.

13. Security and data breaches

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law, including the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and notify you of material changes. Where required by law, we will seek your consent before material changes take effect. Previous versions are available on request at rekurigames@gmail.com.

This policy is effective as of 5 October 2026.
